AESSEAL, a global leader in mechanical seal technology, has recently taken a bold step towards a greener future by pledging £29 million by 2029 towards achieving NetZero status by year 2029. In line with this pledge, AESSEAL has invested in a 2MW AC solar energy project Betterworld Solar Farm at Akkalkot, Dist. Solapur, Maharashtra, India.
The project has a total of 5133 solar panels installed, with each panel having a capacity of 545 Wp.
On 20th March 2023, the Betterworld Solar Farm was inaugurated, and dedicated to the nation by Mr. Stephen Shaw, Engineering Director of AES Group, along with Mr. Alastair Womack, Group Financial Controller of AESSEAL and Mr. Nayan Ramesh Patel CEng, CEO of AESSEAL India Private Limited.
The project will not only help in reducing the carbon footprint of the company but will also contribute towards the larger goal of limiting global warming. Mr. Nayan Patel, CEO of AESSEAL India Private Limited, believes that this project is a significant step towards a greener future. He says,
